If you’d love to host your friends, without the daunting task of cooking, why not host a pot luck dinner? It’s the no-fuss entertaining option! Here’s how to go about it:

  • Ask everyone to bring a dish and/or a bottle – suggest categories, to ensure a good selection (entree, salad, meat, dessert).
  • Make sure wine and beer drinkers bring their beverage of choice, while you provide soft drinks for the drivers and non-drinkers. A couple of bottles of mineral water are also handy.
  • Seeing you’re the host, and not cooking a full meal, instead channel your efforts into presenting a stylish looking table setting – use a beautiful table runner, your good silverware, cloth napkins, and candlelight if it’s a night-time party.
  • Try a pot luck breakfast, brunch or lunch. It doesn’t just have to be a dinner idea.
