Jungle Fever Theme for Little Explorers

Jungle Fever Theme for Little Explorers

Pack your compass and your binoculars, we're going on an expedition! A Jungle Fever Party is so much fun and takes guests on an adventure packed journey.

Decide whether you will host the party inside or outside. Use rope to create vines and green cardboard to make leaves to place on the vines. Make a collection of Jungle Jams to play throughout the party. Include some Disney favourites such as Disney's Jungle Book, Disney's Lion King, Disney's Tarzan, some African music and "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Use stuffed jungle animals to help decorate the house.

Clever Costuming
Invite your guests to wear exploration clothes and bring a backpack to keep their supplies in. Provide your guests with a special explorer's hat and compass upon arrival. Safari hats can also be given to your guests

Menu Munchies
Place snack on a table and leave them there throughout the day. Choose foods that resemble something you might find in the jungle eg, green grapes as snake eggs and dried sultanas and cranberries as jungle ants. Have a picnic lunch of chicken and salad rolls with savoury muffins. Finish the day with a jungle animal topped cake and refreshing ice blocks.

Gratifying Games
Some games can include an obstacle course where guests have to carry a range of supplies through a snake and crocodile infested obstacle course. You could also do a safari hunt where your guests hunt for animals around the house using clue cards. Why not do some animal face painting? Zebras, cheetahs, monkeys and butterflies all look effective and are easy to do. Finally, use a white balloon as an ostrich egg and have relay races with guests carrying the balloon between their legs. You could even have a lion's roar or Tarzans call competition.

Fancy a Favour?
Use brown paper bags tied with string as favour bags. Include red and green frogs, jungle theme pencils and erasers.

Party Pointers
A jungle fever party can be a great theme for boys and girls of all ages and is perfect for the warmer months.
