• Special thanks to Kristen Evans who sent through 3 great ideas:
• Ask people on their invitations to bring a copy of their favourite recipe. This can be a family favourite meal or even a quick and easy recipe. Purchase a Recipe Journal as a special keepsake for the day and a great way to store your favourite recipes that you collect over time.
• Purchase tiny little plastic (coloured for safety purposes) teddy bears or dolls small enough to fit inside an ice cube tray. Freeze the bears in the trays and put one ice cube (1 each) into a glass of champagne before toasting the mother to be. The first ice cube to melt is the first bear (baby)
• Purchase a couple of baby bottles for the mother to be to keep. For the party, fill them up with tiny teddie lollies and ask people to guess how many are in the bottle. The person who guesses the right amount also gets a bottle of champagne to take home and the bears (lollies) can be emptied into a bowl for guests to nibble at during the remainder of the baby shower.
